"Sometimes being a senior citizen means you don't always want to be thought of as old" - Miss Mary
Our seniors are very important to us and we are continuing to help improve their quality of life. Throughout our housing communities, seniors appreciate independent living and the opportunity to age in place affordably. Seniors are encouraged to plant flowers and beautify their outdoor space.
The partnership with Iredell Council on Aging offers congregate meals at our Summit Village Center, located on 1353 Pearl Street in Statesville. Seniors, 60 years of age and older enjoy a hot meal and fellowship. The program also provides home delivered meals for seniors that qualify.
Free WIFI access can be utilized in addition to the computer labs at our Summit Village and Parkwood community centers. Health and financial workshops are offered to assist families age in place. We also offer and support seniors participating in outings to places like Shatley Springs (a big hit), Shock the Block, community Thanksgiving dinner, annual Fashion & Banquet, Christmas Lights at Zootastic and local farmers markets.
Volunteer opportunities are encouraged and welcomed, please call 704-761-4755.
